The 11th annual Japanese-Serbian Film Festival (JSFF) is set to take place from December 2nd to December 6th, 2024, in Belgrade, Serbia. Centered around this year’s theme, “WAVE,” the festival invites audiences to explore an array of compelling works that span diverse cinematic movements, trends, and cultural frequencies. “WAVE” symbolizes the enduring impact of cinematic storytelling, inspired by film movements like the French New Wave and the Serbian Black Wave, highlighting the power of film as a medium for bridging boundaries and fostering cross-cultural dialogue.

JSFF 2024 will present awards in two main categories—Feature and Short Films, celebrating excellence in Japanese and Serbian cinema:

Feature Film Awards:

• Best Japanese Film

• Best Serbian Film

• Overall Best Film (decided by the jury)

Short Film Awards:

• Best Short Film

• Best Japanese Short (Serbian Jury Award)
